                A good book is a good friend
     
Researchers have demonstrated that school libraries have  a positive impact on student achievement. More than 60 studies have been conducted  in 19 U.S. states and one Canadian province. The major finding of these studies  is that students with access to a well-supported school library media program  with a qualified school library media specialist, scored higher on reading  assessments regardless of their socio-economic statuses.
Johnites library is a "treasure house of knowledge".
1 Library of 35' x 20' dimensions located on  the Ground Floor of the Main Building. It  contains 12,000 books with 31 wooden  racks/almirahs for safe custody of books. Faculty for reading in library for  forty students at the time is available.
Every class is allotted a library period in a week to enable students to enhance their knowledge. It is also a 
    "time off" for enlightenment. A very good source of reference for both the teachers and students.
The School Library is well equipped and it is expected that each student  should make the best use of it. Many important periodicals, Magazines,  newspapers etc. are provided so that the students try to acquire knowledge from  different sources. 
Perfect silence and discipline is to be maintained in the Library. All  the books are to be returned to the Library on the due date. Failing which, a  fine of Re. 20/- per day will be charged. In case any Library material is lost  or damaged its price will be recovered from the defaulter. All Library books  should be returned before the commencement of Examinations.
