St .John’s Sr. Sec. School is one of the most prestigious schools of Kota city, founded in the year, 1973 at civil lines, and since then it has been progressing ‘leaps and bounds’ and we are sure that one day it will reach its zenith. The institution was recognized as a middle school in 1976, a Secondary in 1984 and a Sr. Sec. School in 1986. The school was shifted the new and permanent building at Bundi Road, Kota in 1984.
Today our eminent strength comprises of about 2000 students. It has a huge building with lavish green surrounding. To encourage sports, we have a basket ball court and a vast play ground to support the organisation of all kinds of games and sports.
The School despite of being located on the ‘National Highway’ is easily approachable and offers transport facilities to commute easily. It has near about 53 spacious rooms with separate highly equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A newly renovated computerized library has about 9,500 volumes on various subjects, over 05 newspapers and 10 periodicals for the students to avail the library on a massive scale. A well furnished staff room, a computer lab, reception, office and parlour for public convenience. The gigantic ‘Auditorium’ and the newly added computerized and technically advanced ‘Audio Visual’ help to fulfill the need and requirements of our students to fare equally well in all the spheres. The institution was enough worthy to add ‘another feather in its eap’ in the year 2006, in the form of its new branch at ‘Riddhi Siddhi,’ where play group and K.G. classes are being run successfully. St. John’s pays heed to an all- round development of students and adheres to a balanced approach towards curricular, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities. We lay great emphasis on character building and mental cum physical growth of students. We inculcate in the students a love for learning and a desire to excel.

The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education vide Affiliation No. 1730019 through letter issued by CBSE, Delhi (CBSE/AFF/1730019/(EX-00164-1011)/2010/248274 dated (19. 07. 2010) and is permanently recognized by the Department of Education, Kota, Rajasthan.
The School is situated on NH – 12 (Kota - Bundi Highway) 3 Kms. from Kota Central Bus Stand.
The School is run and managed by THE EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY OF ST. JOHN’S. Which is a registered society under no. 111 – 1974-75 dated September 11, 1974.
